Woopsyang Company is an art company that focuses on participatory performance projects. Participatory performance is a work completed by participants and is experimenting with the expansion of art through play based on urban culture.
멍때리기 대회를 개최한 웁쓰양은 시각예술을 포함한 다양한 장르에서 활동하고 있다. 2013년 부터는 <도시놀이개발 프로젝트>라는 기획 하에 도시라는 정글에서 소비 외의 유희활동을 예술과 결합하는 실험을 하고있으며 '멍때리기 대회'는 그 프로젝트 중 일부이다.
